I agree. I know both women but when the movie started I was like who is this Rachel McAdams but with a leaner face. I was almost embarrassed when I saw on here who it actually is.

I thought at first that it was Parker Posey playing that role until I realized that it was Elizabeth Banks. Either way she did a great job.

I thought it was Rachel at first, but it clicked that it was Elizabeth. <3 But now that a few others have mentioned Parker, I can definitely see the resemblance. These three women all share similar features, and are absolutely stunning.

shareI, too, am in the "thought it was Parker Posey" club ... only I stayed that way throughout the entire movie. It was so bad, when I was surfing the cast here, I saw her name with top billing and thought, "She must have had a cameo and they've given her top billing because she later became famous." I noticed she had played Miranda ... that name rang a bell, but for some reason I still didn't connect it to who that was in the movie ... that's why I went to these message threads, to see if anyone knew the answer to where the Elizabeth Banks scenes were!
The only question I had when watching the movie and thinking she was Parker Posey, and it never really bothered me enough to make me analytical, was, "How did Parker Posey get younger looking?" I'm actually kind of disappointed because I like to see Posey get out there, she's such a talent. I don't begrudge Banks this role. But they ought to add a category at the Oscars for comedic performances, or be sure they include those in the best actor/actress consideration. I don't know if I remember too many or any comedic performances winning an Oscar. But both Posey and now Banks would have deserved such an accolade: Banks for this, and Posey for Price Check if you saw that little black comedy. They've probably been great in other things, too. Btw, it was only in later years that I realized that some actors are so good they can completely disappear into characters and be unrecognizable from role to role. It's probably because as a child, your preconceptions aren't there yet and you can recognize a person no matter who he or she portrays. Or maybe acting has gotten even better. Costuming, too, eh? :)
I thought she was Rachel too and then I was convinced she was Parker Posey. That's the second movie I thought she was Posey and wasn't lol

I didn't mistake her for Rachel-she reminded me of her-I could see Parker too-not in looks but in expression and mannerisms

Freaky, because I never made the connection before this, but now I cannot deny it's eeriness. I'm freaking out right now.
