Movie would have been better with a better lead

In the span of a few days, Will watches his mother and best friend die, wins a fortune, goes on high speed chases, and through it all he has basically the same wooden expression and says everything in the same monotone voice. Assuming they could get anyone, better choices for the role of Will (someone that could pass for 25 at filming) would have been:

Jake Gyllenhall
Chris Pine
Chris Hemsworth
James McAvoy
Aidan Turner
Alexander Skarsgard
Joseph Gordon Levitt
Tom Hardy
Channing Tatum
Michael Fassbender

Any of those guys

I dunno. I think JT did OK and the “monotone voice” kind of sets the atmosphere of the film. Plus perhaps that was the intention and he was directed that way.
