What ages are the girls supposed to be?

From the way the girls were behaving I would have thought that they would be in their teens but the actresses were in their mid thirties. How old were they intended to be?

I think there were supposed to be teenagers but I was unsure whether they were mentally ill as well!

You could be right markbc-2, because it did not make sense why older actresses were playing teenagers but their behaviour was such that either they were immature or suffering from mental illness.

In Elfie Hopkins Jaime Winstone, who is 28 played an 18 year old. It's happened before.

Shirley Henderson was 37 when she first played dead schoolgirl Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films.

Its more of a case of how young you look and can you get away with it.
