Anyone Else Really Like This Movie?

I'm a teenager, so I may be biased, but I'm also a real cinephile, and I usually detest movies like this - dumb, hedonistic for the sake of hedonistic movies with no apparent redeeming qualities. But I thought this movie was genius. I'm not trolling. I think it's social commentary on par with Spring Breakers, without even knowing it. I think it really captured the teenaged mindset of just have fun first and ask questions later, which is a dangerous thought process - and it updated it for the milennial generation that truly is all about hedonism. Any comedy in Project X, of which I think there are ample amounts, is just the cherry on top for me.

I love this movie and I am 40 years old. Been checking monthly for any news for a squeal.

Well, a sequel, as usual, will probably suck.

Well then, it's not for everyone..

I absolutely loved it and agree with you. I feel that this film captures the essence of high school and the "highschool party". The want to fit in and be like every one else. Once Thomas understands just this he realizes it wasn't what he wanted at all. He just wanted to be with his friends and finally understands where he went wrong. The symbolism is outstanding. Love this film and always will

Same. I consider myself a pretty serious cinephile, yet I genuinely liked this one. Found it very funny and was nowhere near as dumb as I expected. Despite its vulgarity and lewd content, I found the three main characters actually very likable and relatable. The overall message is somewhat confused, but it's certainly a fun watch.
