I usually don't read spoilers of movies before I watch them, but the cheap promotional stunt campaign that's designed to shock the fans really aggrevated me, they can't possibly consider having Ran and Kaito kiss? Well, I'm glad they didn't, I never liked Kaito Kid, but now I can't stand the guy, I hope he doesn't get away with this, Conan/Shinichi should not forgive him just like that.
shareFor a moment Ran does thought he was Shinichi -- it was only until the last minute that she figures out that Kaito lied. I don't understand either, because of what Kaito used to say to Akako in Magic Kaito (according to the Chinese version in Taiwan). I remember my brother and I criticized the kiss before we saw the part after the credits -- when Ran finally realizes that he is not Shinichi. And Shinichi obviously knows it's Kaito's doing. (If Aoko knew Kaito Kid and Kaito Kuroba are the same person... she would probably give him a lot of FISH to see!)
By the way, I've always been wondering if Shinichi figured out Kaito's real name, Kaito Kuroba? (I haven't been watching Conan animes or reading Conan mangas for ages as I'm already waiting for the ending...) Because in this movie Shinichi addresses him as "Kaito", and I didn't know if they eliminated it in the TV anime as they always have Conan calling him "Kaito Kid" or "Kid" in the Chinese version in Taiwan, and in Kanji, as well as in the Chinese versions, Kaito in "Kaito Kid" and "Kaito Kuroba" are written differently.
