Am I On Drugs? Why are they shooting?

I realize that, while watching this and having a question an hour into it... I don't remember a single thing I have seen since the giant crab.... and then I'm questioning my sobriety...

So, I kind of snapped back into reality when, after the fight scene, with three men... and the midget captain had to fight the Djimon Hounsou stand-in... and then they shot the little captain and Sinbad starts saying "I have the stones!" or whatever he said...

Why did everyone just start shooting at each other?

Is there any continuity in this film? Any rationale for the actions of people?

WHY WERE THEY SHOOTING EACH OTHER?

WHERE TO FIND the answer?

I think I am on what you're on, cuz this doesn't make sense and as soon as I watch a scene, it immediately disappears from my memory, with exception to "CRAB...GIANT CRAB!!!"
