This t.v. shows follows up on the 3 movies?
This's not related to the U.S. t.v. show named "Millennium" starring Lance Henrikson that aired some years ago?

It's not connnected with the US show in any way...that was a brilliant series but lost its way a bit in series three. This show is based on the Stieg Larsson books: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who Kicked a Hornet's Nest. The television show is basically the same as the film versions of Stieg Larsson's trilogy, but with some of the additional story lines that the films left out.
shareShould this IMDb page exist then? Isn't this adequately covered by the extended versions of those films?
This IS the extended version of the films. The last two films were actually made for TV - for this series - and re-edited into cinema films when the first one was a huge success. The making of the first film was the opposite way around.
shareNo, Millennium is the original title of Larrson's trilogy. Look on IMDB for all the different movie titles for the films.
share"Millennium" also refers to the quarterly news magazine published by one of the the main characters (Mikhail Blomvkist) in Larrson's trilogy.
shareThe nazi in me would just like to point out that it is Mikael Blomkvist, not Mikhail Blomvkist. My nazi says sorry and awkwardly leaves.
