This t.v. shows follows up on the 3 movies?

This's not related to the U.S. t.v. show named "Millennium" starring Lance Henrikson that aired some years ago?

reply

It's not connnected with the US show in any way...that was a brilliant series but lost its way a bit in series three. This show is based on the Stieg Larsson books: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who Kicked a Hornet's Nest. The television show is basically the same as the film versions of Stieg Larsson's trilogy, but with some of the additional story lines that the films left out.

reply

Should this IMDb page exist then? Isn't this adequately covered by the extended versions of those films?

reply

This IS the extended version of the films. The last two films were actually made for TV - for this series - and re-edited into cinema films when the first one was a huge success. The making of the first film was the opposite way around.

reply

No, Millennium is the original title of Larrson's trilogy. Look on IMDB for all the different movie titles for the films.

reply

"Millennium" also refers to the quarterly news magazine published by one of the the main characters (Mikhail Blomvkist) in Larrson's trilogy.

The nazi in me would just like to point out that it is Mikael Blomkvist, not Mikhail Blomvkist. My nazi says sorry and awkwardly leaves.

Lies, NAZIS DO NOT APOLOGIZE!!!

I came here because I had watched the first one (Swedish version), then watched my downloaded copy of TGW Played With Fire (which happened to be part one) and got confused as hell when I started TGW kicked a hornet's nest when it ended (TGW kicked a hornet's nest was part 2. I finally figured it out and realized it, though. Downloading the other appropriate pieces of the puzzle to fill myself in on the story line as we.... I guess I should probably say I, since I'm replying to a post that's almost 2 years old and you are most likely not going to reply to it while the missing pieces are still downloading...

Anyway, I saw the English speaking version of it first and really enjoyed it, but wanted to see the original and I'm really enjoying them as well so far... Especially since they've got Noomi Rapace in them. I thought she did a great job in Prometheus and can't wait for the next one and can't wait for the English release of the Girl Who Played with Fire.
