What's up with the hospital/surgeon stuff, i.e. where the girls met...?

So Daisy mentions that she met Violet at the hospital, and that Violet wants her to say they were "surgeons" rather than doctors. In the end credits, you see a group of little girls "performing surgery" on what looks like stuffed animals or dolls, with an older black woman standing over as a sort of an overseer. What does all this mean?

As has been indicated before (or this may be new to you), it seems that this story may be an analogy for orphans and finding a home. Perhaps Rose was a child who finally found a family and it felt to Violet like she was taken from her world (i.e. dead).

Anyways, thoughts, opinions...???

They worked at a teddy bear hospital or something. Google it.

No crap, Sherlock.

But what does it mean -- what's the symbolism behind it?

You're reading too much into it.

I get the impression that this is the place where the girl assassins are recruited from?

reply

I think it's just an activity that the organization that the assassins work for had the young recruits do for some purpose.
