This is not Mr. Bean you idiot, Rowan Atkinson is not Mr. Bean that is just a character he plays. That's why Rowan has said he wants to quit Bean, because people like you automatically think he is Bean. He was a well-known and very respected comedian with his sketches and Blackadder etc. before Mr. Bean as fantastic as that character is. It just turns out Mr. Bean has become more iconic than any of his other characters to the international public.
I mean other actors have played iconic characters and still be known for their other roles so why the *beep* can't Rowan be Rowan and his character Bean be Bean? Michael Crawford is known for being the original Britcom Wally Frank Spencer as well as being The Phantom of the Opera and a great actor and singer, so why do people automatically think Rowan Atkinson IS Mr. Bean. He is not.

I don't see a lot of similarities between Bean and English, but if I were to compare English to one of Rowan Atkinson's established characters, I would say he's a bit more like one of the later Blackadder incarnations.
