Any info on the 9-Litre, V-16 Engine shown in the Rolls in the beginning?

The 9.0L V16 was an experimental engine developed by RR for their big Phantom. Rowan, being a massive car buff, knew about these secretive engines, of which there were only 3-4 made and asked RR to out one in a Phantom Coupe for the film. RR obliged. They've never given out any technical detail about the engine, other than displacement (9 litres)
