I don't get it! The original really tries, and had some moments with the laugh.
The 2nd movie is PURE GARBAGE, there's no funny or no laughing scene at all. And still people gave this a better rating ? What the hell ?
How the hell this garbage sequel got better rating than the original ?Ha! ...because it was BETTER! ...because people who vote enjoyed it MORE. Is that too difficult a concept for you to understand?

1. Tighter, more focused script, with a more polished execution. Clearly bigger budget
2. Better supporting cast
3. Johnny English is less of a bumbling idiot in this film(He was basically Mr. Bean playing a spy) & is somewhat more similar to Austin Powers where he still gets into goofy comedic hijinks but also shows a degree of skill & competence at his job.
The original movie takes Black Adder and Mr. Bean, then dilutes Black Adder and removes the nasty edge of Mr. Bean, leaving us with a very _BLAND_ character.
This one tries to make Johnny English into a bit more original a character, and succeeds to some extent, rendering it a more pleasant viewing experience.
You don't want to watch a diluted Black Adder or watered-down Mr. Bean, when you can watch the original, funny ones, so watching a completely different character doesn't remind you of something BETTER you could be watching.
Also, it has a more interesting structure as a movie, and the 'Martial Arts-style spiritual strengthening' is always fun to watch in this type of movies, as it adds another layer to the whole thing.
