Decepcionado/Disappoi nted

First of all, I want to say that I admire Campanella's work ('The Secret in Their Eyes', 'Avellaneda's Moon', 'Son of the Bride', among others), perhaps that's the reason I ended so disappointed after watching 'Metegol' ('Underdogs'): I expected much more.
The plot of the movie, beyond the fact that it was too simple, it didn't make much sense, too many things put together and none of them were developed in a satisfying way: the relationship between Amadeo and the toys (fussball players), the relationship between Amadeo and the girl, the town, I don't know, I feel that many aspects of the movie were handled in a very superficial way, beyond the "villain" being obsessed with winning, and being egocentric, and narcissistic, etc. In general, the movie didn't move me, I had no empathy with the characters, I didn't want them to "win", I wasn't touched, nothing... Only thing, I had a couple of laughs with "El Beto".
I saw the movie in the BluRay version, had to change the audio from Argentinian to Mexican. Argentinian voices were awful, forced, out of character, had no credibility, and I don't care about the Argentinian accent or expressions.
I expected a more "classic" movie and ended up with something forgettable.
