How the rednecks operation was profitable?

When I see nature documentaries, they took months to put together a specialist crew and high tech boat just to put a camera on an animal like that. The three rednecks alone put cameras in all those sharks, move them to a lake and vanished a lot of college kids. How much all of that cost? they only videotaping it to sell snuff movies? How much can someone pay to see something like that? It covers the costs? Like the guy said, people can see all kind of mostrosity on the internet for free? Why pay so much money to see that?

Cuz the viewers want to see it and the videos would be rare, so they'd pay top dollar.

Just got to the part when one of the bad guys explains the finance situation. Seems no one has seen or paid for a video yet. So it's only been expenses up until the events of the movie.
