3D dvd?

Is there any reason I can't find this anywhere on sale with the 3D? I've seen many 3D/Blu Ray version dvd's on Amazon for sale, but for this movie I get the standard movie or just the normal blu ray.

Overseas got a 3d blu-ray release. In america it was released in 2-d. We can buy a 3d version off of the playstation network though.

Oh that sucks. Thanks for the reply :)

You are very welcome, As of now there are no plans to release a 3d Blu-ray version in america. A quick search on E-bay will reveal sellers of the 3d Blu-ray version. I don't think an anaglyph 3D - DVD exist at this time.

If you like shark movies, Check out BAIT 3D from Austraila.

You can by it in Blu-Ray 3D.

I had a chance to see it in 3D (Thank you Playstation Network). It is far superior to Shark Night. Much Scarier, the shark attacks are more aggressive.

Lol I just bought Bait 3D last night cause my friend bought herself a 3D tv. It looked pretty awesome. I didn't hate Shark Night as most people did, I thought the middle and the ending could've been done a lot better, but I enjoyed the first half. I know they sell region free 3D movies for Shark Night, but I only have my PS3 and I know that wouldn't play region free.

reply

ahhhh, I thought about picking a copy up myself, not too big of a fan of the film, but it's a mainstream shark movie. Glad you enjoyed bait

Are the Australian and Hong Kong editions edited...or do they sport the intact, original US cut? They would seem to be the only North American Region compatible 3D editions available. At the usual, arm an a leg price.

How's the AV quality?

reply

I just watched the 3D Blu-Ray from the Netherlands and quality was very good. It also includes the movie in 2D and in red-and-blue 3D with accompanying glasses. Did not seem to be edited, the US rating was only PG-13 and the Dutch rating is 16.

If you've read this far: PG13 rated, Sara Paxton starring natively shot 3D shark thrillers are probably your bag.

The Hong Kong, Blu-ray 3D edition's legit; officially region A, plays fine on my US equipment and sports a solid transfer. It has the same strengths and weaknesses I've read about in other editions from other regions, so it probably derives from the same digital files. Glad to have it my 3D collection.
