It was actually pretty good

Kind of predictable, although I didn't expect the sheriff to be one of the bad guys...still, it was better than I expected. The jumping sharks were kind of ridiculous, though. I realize that there are some species that do that, but not to the extent that was shown...

for future post, you should put "spoiler" warnings in your title if you reveal plot points.

The shark that killed gordon was stupid,

but i did like when the GREAT WHITE jumped out of the water and picked the guy off of the Jet ski.

Okay, I'm all for preventing spoilers...but when it's obvious that the person has seen the movie, I don't think it's necessary. If I haven't seen a movie and don't want anything revealed, then I don't read posts from people who have obviously seen it!

A casual reader may be unsure and want to know your thoughts and personal critique before they see the film. I'm just saying anytime you put spoilers in the thread, you should just warn people about what they are about to read, that's all man.

No, actually this was a horribly bad movie.

It was fine, fun. I cannot fathom what people expected from "Shark Night 3D" that left them feeling so betrayed by this--entirely serviceable on its own terms--film.

For what it is, I agree. Someone looking for Oscar worthy material probably shouldn't see it.

How much crack do you smoke on a daily basis? Because I would guess a whole lot.

1) When writing "It was actually pretty good", the poster makes clear, that s/he has seen it, so yes, you should expect spoilers.
2) It WAS pretty good, far surpassed my expectations. Plus....guy-candy ;)

...just sayin'...

Yeah, I liked it as far as these kinds of things go better than the second Piranha, inferior to the first. It was kiiiind of predictable, sure, but I like how the black guy wasn't the first to die even though it looked like that was how it was going to go. I liked that the sheriff got there and the first thing he did when he sees the dead shark is "what is that?" it throws you off suspecting him. I liked that Dennis showed real concern so you feel like even though Red is an ass he will actually try and help them. I liked the sheriff's speech about the reasoning for their actions, all the beyond good and evil stuff. I thought it was pretty well written for something of this sort!

It's filled with horror cliches, cheesy montages, and some bad acting bits but I liked the second half of the movie. Plus, what was shown of the sharks still made them scary for me and the reason why the sharks are in the lake seems like a frightening but plausible concept.
