At this point in the movie the hapless blonde is trapped in the shark cage whilst her boyfriend who was trying to "save" her is accosted by the antagonist. Note her 118lb frame cannot fit through that large opening in the cage. Alas.

Sheeeet. Thinking the same thing. She could clear that gap easily.
