I at one point agreed to a strictly physical relationship and it turned out to be a lot of heartbreak on my part. It's just not a good idea, really.

shareUh, evidently the OP is either very young or doesn't get around much. In college I had at least 4 friends who INSISTED upon that identical deal, and that was just in one summer, and I am about a 5 in looks compared to the "hot" guys. These ladies appreciated the opportunity to enjoy physical intimacy outside a relationship; one, in fact, was insistent that she only finish once per session even though in my younger days I typically enjoyed extended afternoons/evenings with my dates.
So yes, there USED to be people who wanted that type of relationship. In those days, before AIDS, guys I knew were more than happy to oblige and participate in these situations. Unfortunately, I did get hung-up on one lady that summer, but she blew me off as she had a boyfriend back home and just wanted someone to date and sleep with for the summer. Used and discarded! Broke my heart, and that was a LONG time ago. I still think about her every so often, and it made me much more aware of the way I sometimes treated people having been through that experience.

I know its 6 years later and you've probably found some simple guy who loves you, but I find it interesting how girls are brainwashed at birth.
She probably gets the value (good sex, attention, etc.) if she wants that relationship. Sex isn't something women give to men.

sharei have exactly such a relationship. it lasted about three months, then we got pissed off at each other, and then about three months later we were friends again. it wasn't a big deal
shareI had that deal, my idea, lasted 3 years, ended amicably 5 years ago, still great friends and we are each in relationships now. I get on very well with his lovely lady and he and my fiancé are good friends too.
All it took was honesty and being careful of each others feelings. I enjoyed it at the time and I still have one of my best friends. It can be done.
