This game was disappointing

Honestly, compared to any of the games made by Infinity Ward, Treyarch makes some bad games. The story was pretty far over the top and cartoonishly ridiculous. The graphics we're average, it was glitchy, the story line was beyond stupid, and the cutscenes and sections of levels look like my guy is tripping or something. I get he was brainwashed (which was stupid), but the numbers flying around and Emmanuelle Chirique whispering in my ear was down right idiotic. Do we need an ensemble cast of voices for the campaign? I remember buying the very first Call of Duty for PC when it first came out and I still believe that was the best game in the series. And guess what, those early games didn't have any of that crap. I'm tired of Call of Duty being a James Bond-esque thing. Black Ops is stupid, and so are all the fanboys who jumped on the bandwagon after the first Modern Warfare.

^^ This.

3arc took a great big (3)arcing piss all over IW with Black Ops. They balanced the game to a fantastic degree. The mechanics of the tomahawk are far better than MW2's throwing knife. They know how to make great maps. They don't copy and paste their last game's MP hoping it'll sell, they innovate and make changes which IW then revert with MW3 to make it look backwards and outdated.
They address problems quicker than IW do.

Basically, every IW fanboy is so butthurt that 3arc are finally stepping out of the big brother's shadow that they are trying to bash them down.
But you can't do that.

Aye, apart from that short-lived fun that was the campaign and Spec Ops I'm regretting buying MW3 already.

I'd say it's traded-in by week's end. Got Batman and Deus Ex to sink my teeth into now, a sequel to one of 2009's greatest games and the prequel to a fantastic franchise that is already blowing my mind.
Meanwhile, I've got you and Smizz for COD lols and Zombie fun, and Battlefield 3 for a far superior and more enjoyable online FPS than anything MW3 can offer.

Then I'm probably gonna get Duke Nukem Forever, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Dead Island for Xmas. You and the Smizzmeister should get the latter, it'll be a riot!

I'm not seeing the upsides of anything you said was supposed to be positive about Black Ops. MW3 is NOT outdated or behind its time, its Black Ops. The graphics are much lower quality. The very first time I played the campaign in Black Ops I had to restart the Xbox because a glitch wouldn't let me get past the first 10 minutes. And are you saying Black Ops multiplayer is so much different than anything Modern Warfare? How, exactly? I just can't stand the story, is the problem. Stumbling around the Pentagon, vision clouded by swarms of numbers, the walls and ceiling disintegrating in front of you, Sloan from Entourage saying numbers all them time. Ripping off the captivity scene from Deer Hunter. And honestly, an underwater submarine base on the bottom of the ocean? Swimming to the surface from under like 1,000 ft of water? I was half expecting you're guy to board a Russian space station or, even better, ride a Saturn V to the moon and assault a Russian lunar outpost. MW3 is simply better made. The graphics are as close as you can currently get to complete photo realism. The dynamics are great, the story is action packed and not completely moronic like Black Ops. Overall, I would have to respectfully say your opinion could not be more ass backward.

I'm not going to dispute you on that first part, I didn't feel like reading a novel of a reply. I just don't see the attraction to zombies. It's fun for a while, but I get tired of unloading three magazines into one guy and it doing absolutely nothing. Plus I see it as shaming the legacy of the original Call of Duty. I expect to see aliens in the next Treyarch game. The dolphin dives... I don't really see how that's a big deal at all. In Modern Warfare, run, jump and hold B in midair. Same thing. I don't see the maps as superior, either. The Modern Warfare ones are pretty fun, very well set up. The layouts allow for really intense close quarters or strategic long range. I remember next to no Black Ops maps, they're pretty forgettable if you ask me.

Just because the game doesn't run like a teenager on cocaine doesn't make it boring. MW3 is well made and produced, it's almost like a movie.

I should have stayed out of it; it's impossible to argue with idiots.

Everything you have said it so true. The only thing good about MW series was the story line that started from COD4, but then started getting tedious by the end of MW2, so MW3 was only awesome because you got to kill Makarov XD

I was annoyed about the weapons selection. There so many other guns they could have used that fit that time frame.

Black Ops was a mess of a story, Numbers? Flashbacks? More Flashbacks? Numbers? I got sick of it, but the zombies was good.

Well what the *beep* do you expect from an espionage game? Not to mention you're character was a sleeper agent, and when you played as other characters like Reznov, Hudson or even the pilot of the SR-71, then it felt normal again, except with all the Cold War tech you could use -_- Black Ops 2 is going to be an all out Terminator type Call of Duty.

While I do agree that Black Ops's campaign wasn't the greatest, at least Treyarch had the balls to try something different. Starting with World at War, going to the Pacific theater for the first time. Black Ops going to Vietnam, space, and using black operations. I can only imagine what a day at Infinity Ward is like. "We'll copy Battlefield and call it day." Thankfully the two heads of IW quit along with Bowling. Three absolutely terrible people. Modern Warfare 2 was easily hands down the absolute worst video game I have ever played. Black Ops maps forgettable? Nuketown is forgettable to you? I cannot fathom how Modern Warfare 2 and 3 maps are actually memorable. War-torn city map after war-torn city map. BORING. How bug-ridden was MW2 the first few weeks of its release? Not a day went by for the first 2-3 weeks where I couldn't get into a fair lobby. Glitches and hacks left and right. EXTREMELY disappointing. All in all, Treyarch is far, far superior to the broken, boring, and repetitive IW.

We put our faith in Blast Hardcheese.
