This film used a White stunt double wearing a kinky braided wig for some of the surfing scenes with the Black girl. This is such poor filmmaking that it is laughable. They even had the nerve to keep the stunt double in focus and hold the shots on her for at least a second.

Actually, Elizabeth Mathis' aka "Pushy" had a dedicated stunt double - SA surfer Tanika Hoffman, who is coloured - not white. The only exception was the aerial 360 shot - for which another local surfer was used - also coloured, and funnily enough, male.

So she may be "coloured" by South African standards, perhaps, but she would never be considered a black woman in most of the of the world. Definitely not in the same sense as Elizabeth Mathis.
