I'm beginning to believe...

...that Jose Manuel's mother set him up when he was in the seminary. After seeing what she did to Valentina with Arzelia, I now think she paid Arzelia to set up Jose Manuel so that he would get kicked out of the seminary. She did not want him to become a priest and found a way to prevent him from becoming one. Any thoughts on this?

reply

Plausible.

However, it is equally believable that she wanted him to become a priest to compensate for her own sins. Like Ana Joaquina in El Privilegio de Amar or Constanza in Las Vias del Amor. In the latter example the hero was spotted by an attractive woman who started flirting with him and he realized he didn't belong in a seminary.

Lol I just recently say El Privilegio de Amar again because they came up with a new version that just started about a two week ago. Its called Triunfo del Amor with William Levy and Maite Perroni. So far it hasnt come out in the US but u can see it on dailymotion.com

Ay, Dios mio! I just checked and it looks like Daniela Romo gets to be the maternal monster this time. Considering her performance in Alborada she should do well in this.

Victoria Ruffo and Maite Peroni look like a good mother/daughter match. I will look forward to this one.

I read that during the Latin Grammy's the Muy Pronto ad was seen.

I guess so, since last night's episode ended with the "ultimas semanas" announcement.

I was wondering that too. Since the time she told Enriquetta the name of the woman. She does seem to need control of JM, so in Leonor's mind even God is too much!

My knee-jerk reaction is that with Federico dying she wants Jose Miguel to take care of her and she doesn't want competition from a woman like Valentina, whom she cannot control.

Little does she realize that Ivana would not be a good alternative.

Toxic parents always make for good drama.

I don't think she really wants Ivana for Jose Manuel. She is just using her and pretends to like her just so she can use her against Isabel.

reply

In which case she's dead meat as soon as Ivana figures this out. That will be fun to watch.

Partially agree. Leonor thinks she can control Ivana hence control JM. Is she truly invested in them in a relationship no. She is the only person for him. Creepy!

It will be good when Ivana and Leonor turn on each other!!!

That will be amusing.

Sadly, when Televisa releases the Cliff-Notes DVDs of their novelas they leave out the delicious catfights.

Televisa doesn't release them, genius. They're released by Vivendi.

My mom had the exact same thought. It would have never occurred to me, but yes, Leonor's totally crazy enough to do that.

I knew it!!!!!

I started thinking that too, because as everyone says she was using Ivana. But maybe Arcelia was in love with Jose Miguel, but because she was so poor and with problems she probably got paid.
