Too much emphasis on marriage for a 15 year old girl

"Here's a ring, you wear it until you get married. One day you'll get married, I'll walk you down the aisle, blah blah." What if she doesn't want to get married? Or never finds the right guy? Or is a lesbian? Irrelevant! She's 15. You shouldn't even be saying anything about marriage. Just weird.

I agree with the above. She was becoming seriously interested in boys and her dad was helping her look responsibly towards the future.

"My best friend was born in a manger!"

As someone who was involved with lots of church stuff in high school and college, chances are VERY high that she'd be married in the next five years. Christians get married super young. By the time I graduated college, most of my peers from church were already married and some had kids.

Lots of them get married so young just to have sex. You can deny it, but it's very true! Most honest Christians will admit this, too. Virgins have sex on the brain way more than anyone else.

Agreed.

They want their children married by their early 20's. That is apart of Southern American country. Basically she had 5-7 years to prepare to be a ''wife'' and for ''sex'' (no sex before marriage in American style Christianity). It's crazy but a sad reality in their country, especially that part.
