Did way better internationally than at home

30% vs 70%. Foreigners enjoyed this more than domestic. The only 2 movies that did near evenly is Black Panther and Top Gun: Maverick. What's funny is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever didn't even hit a billion.

Its very normal, that movies make more internationally, its much bigger market than "domestic" USA...

True but in one of the interviews I heard Cameron say that they did it in a way that captures the international market with all the different cultural aspects mixed into the lore of the world itself, that one of them would attach itself to an audience.

Numinous:
Experience of being in the presence of something holy and divine. Sacred. The word expresses a feeling of wonder and awe at that which cannot be wholly understood on its own terms. Which is to say that it is something beyond our experience, something that is Other.

Many liken this Other to God and experiencing the presence of God at work, God taking action in their lives. This is appropriate; the very etymology of the term links it with religious thought. But the point that Sagan makes in Contact is that the feeling is just as valid in the presence of Nature and the Universe as well.

Numinous, as a concept, need not be mutually exclusive. Therein lies its beauty.

I think it was expected to make more here.

He did it for the WORLDO!

Avatar is being used to launder money for Disney and the WEF. It's easier to do that in the international markets vs the USA ones.
