James Cameron says that the shooting of the live-action scenes on Avatar 2 is 100% complete, and that they’re very nearly finished with Avatar 3, too.

Avatar 2 will be released on December 17, 2022, with Avatar 3 arriving on December 20, 2024, Avatar 4 hitting on December 18, 2026, and then, finally, Avatar 5 will round off the franchise on December 22, 2028.

I can't wait for Avatar 6 with its expected release date of Dec. 7, 2047, and the eagerly awaited followup, Avatar 7, with its planned release date of Dec. 24, 2051. I also heard Avatar 8 is in early stages of pre-development, which should really excite audiences of the 2060s!
