Knew this was coming as this has been pushed back so many times already. Won't be surprised if they do it again. Especially with the new Star Wars trilogy set to release in Decembers starting in 2022.

At this stage of the game, that's more likely to mean technical or scheduling difficulties than suckage.

Yes I agree. Maybe some new CG technology was improved or 3D tech that will be incorporated into the film. On the first film back in 2009 I think it was either 24 hours or 48 hours to render a single frame of the film because there was so much information. More than 10 years later and I can't wait to hear what the stats are for this regarding render time.

Yeah, films like this take YEARS of pre-production and post-production, the actual shooting might be the simplest and cheapest part of the whole process of filmmaking. If they're putting things back, it's more likely to be because of some special effects issue that will take forever to realize.

Or maybe the script stinks, but that didn't stop the first film from making money.

^ it doesn't take 12 years to make a movie , specially with the technology they have at disposal now

One processor took a day or two per frame. But they had 40,000 processors. Today's processors are likely 10X faster.
