More than one version? (Spoilers)

I have been reading the comments and several posters mentioned the film ended with Eli being sent to another home. One or two mentioned Mrs. Lange and Mr. Potts together at the orphanage.

I watched this from Amazon Prime last night and the film ended with Zooey and Alec holding their daughter in the hospital. Eli appears in the doorway. Only Zooey sees him before he vanishes seconds later. There was nothing added afterwards to indicate he was sent to another home.

There also wasn't a scene with Mrs. Lange and Mr. Potts standing together at the orphanage.

Is there a British version and American version then?

Sounds like it! The UK DVD has Eli appearing to help a new family.

No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

There is a scene after the first two credits. It cuts to black, the credits roll and then the scene comes up. It's on both UK and US versions. You just have to be patient and not switch off straight away!
