Brat to Mature Adult in 2.2 seconds

I recently watched Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure and what got me was in the end when Sharpay gave her speech to Amber Lee, she went on and on about not respecting people how treated others like crap, thinking they were better than everyone else, etc. Well isn't that exactly what she did for four years of high school? I know we only saw HSM1-3, but I'm sure she was like that as a freshman too. Someone that entitled and bitchy does not suddenly mature that quickly.
