Should I watch the rest of it?

I have a low tolerance for dumb cinema. So far I have seen the first 10 minutes of this film and I am not impressed with what I see. The comedy is forced and contrived. Case in point:

- Is there a reason why the lead character needs the one urinal stall occupied by the hapless guy wearing the pajama? Is there only one urinal stall in the airport? I see bladder traffic shuffling in the background: DUMB comedy.
- Nerdy guy examining his carry-on for liquids and sharp objects: CHEAP shot.
- They are showing 2001. The ban against liquids and gels came much later: DUMB/NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
- The hero's handheld camera is clearly post 2001, but since I have already written off attention to detail, I guess this doesn't count.
- Airplane scene: CONTRIVED, OVERACTING.

Then came the Police/FBI dance sequence which is where I decided to take a break.
Man slipping on banana peel stopped making me laugh after I watched it for the 250th time at the age of 5. Now I need something more intelligent ... like Natha slipping on cowdung in Peepli.

So, dear friends. Is the rest of the movie more of the same or is there a drastic improvement after that song?

Thanks.

The movie takes momentum after Noora aka Bin Laden enters, and from there it becomes interesting and more hilarious so you should definitely watch it...

Secondly, all your goof pointing is strange, there is a term NO-BRAINER comedy and you should follow jokes and not the logic in such movies , or can you believe that a footballer can become such a great golfer like in HAPPY GILMORE, or any sane person will *beep* a Pie like in AMERICAN PIE, this movie belongs to such Genre..

or otherwise the basic plot that a BIN LADEN tape is taken as original is too far fetched but as I told you, the running time of this movie just gives us laughs and there is a little message of Americans hunting and killing with it , so worth money for me..

By the way I watched PEEPLI too, its a nice movie but if it did not have AAMIR KHAN tag as producer, it wouldn't be as famous as it is, otherwise INDIA has made much better Art movies before , even I think ISHQIYA was way better...

I just watched this movie....and I loved it. Instead of nitpicking, just enjoy the movie. You'll find a lot of hidden puns throughout the movie to engage your very active brain !

@ rituraj, noone asked to switch off your brain, just don't overuse it.. :)

Why so Serious ?

reply

Yeah, why so serious? LOL
This is a film intended to poke jokes, and not to analyse it.
My friend once told me, if you can handle the jokes,
go watch Documentary film instead.

It's hilarious and very intelligent cinema. Your points are rather forced. It's a SATIRE. Did you not catch that?

As someone rightly stated that in today's world its very difficult to make someone laugh, leave behind making him fall off the chair! The movie did that to me.
Now, if you are just too stubborn to accept laughter, this movie aint for you buddy, never mind! lol ;) Go and watch crappy *beep* like Peepli and all.

haha what a numpty

Peek-a-boo, you *beep* you!

Actually, I also was thinking like you (still enjoying the paki double standards being shown) in the beginning and I thought the movie would be a poor experience. Yet, somewhere around when Noor is discovered, things change and it becomes a lot more enjoyable. There is a lot of satire, of course.
So, did you finally watch it? I notice your post is from 2010.
