The title is a bit lame. Why is it called TERE BIn laden???
shareits Tere Bin (without you) Laden
" Look, there's two women fuc*ing a polar bear!" - Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas 1998
At first I assumed it meant:
Tere (your) Bin Laden
But the posters above are correct it means 'Without you Laden'
It mean's 'Yours, Bin Laden'. It refers to the videotapes they are making and sending to the US. For example, when writing a letter you may sign of 'Yours, Tom', same principle with the videos.
shareNo, actually, it means "without you", Laden.
There was no real Laden in the movie, that's why.
All of this happened without his presence.
No. That would be 'Tere bin, Laden'. The title of the movie is 'Tere, Bin Laden'. The B is a capital (name of a person), and Bin Laden is written beneath 'Tere', and in a different colour. It does not mean 'without you, Laden'. Don't go by what wikipedia says because it's wrong. It clearly evident to any native speake of urdu/hindi that the title translated is 'Yours, Bin Laden'. Why anyone would think otherwise is beyond me.
shareThere is no comma after "tere".
The caps are because many movie names are spelt like that.
The colour and "written below" may not mean much.
And most native speakers of Hindee or Urdoo would realise that unlike in English, "without you, Laden" does not need to be written as "tere bin, Laden". That comma is not necessary to be used (and is not normally used in such cases).
Most native speakers of Hindee or Urdoo would also realise that what you intend to convey would be written like - "teraa bin laden" or "teraa, bin laden". "Tere" would not be used for "yours, ".
Hence, the title is addressed to BL.
