Not sure if this is considered an outright remake, but this theme has been rehashed many many times, almost identically: Horny young guy gets tricked into killing, or taking the blame for killing, someone's husband, for money (mostly).

shareI've seen around a dozen films that follow this identical plot in the last twenty years, but they're mixed in my head with 10,000 other films so making a list out of memory is futile, but I assure you they are out there.
Even the twist where the cop/insurance agent is in on the con, which always seems to be two women, has been executed to death. It's still a watchable 5/10.
