Another classic example where a film isn't as bad as jokers make it out.

..to be.

Sorry, but there were worse films in 2016 than this. At the top of my head I can say Ben Hur, and there are some others.

This will be the only comment or reply you'll get. Like I give a sh!t about YOUR interwebz opinion.

I completely agree. I was expecting a bad movie. But this film was in no way bad. It's a good popcorn flick.

And it's well structured and consistent. And the visual effects were good and realistic in terms of what the film the is about. I don't know what others wanted.

Agreed. I am not going to defend this film as good cinema, but at least I had fun with ID:R (the premise of the Aliens coming back with a 3000 mile-wide mothership is too cool to pass up).

2016 had plenty of stinkers that were not only worse films, but actually bored me. The Legend of Tarzan, Gods of Egypt, Suicide Squad, BvS, Ghostbusters, just to name a few.

My Recent watches:
Rogue One - 7/10
Moana - 9/10

I hope it is not bad I bought it last night (for $.71 might I add) and am looking forward to watching it here when the gf goes to work in the morning.

I finally got around to watching it yesterday and it's pretty good. Don't know what all the fuss is about, it's a great action sequel. It felt like they kept it simple since they were planning a 3rd movie to which I believe would completely blow up with action. I was expecting a movie that I'd only watch once based on all the crying that's been going on about it but I'll definitely watch it quite a few more times.

"There are worse films" is a really poor defense for a movie. Apt for this movie, but weak nonetheless.

This movie was so good. I was shocked because I heard about the bad reviews which kept me from paying to see it. It finally premiered on tv over the weekend and my mom and I were blown away. I didn't even miss will smith. I wasn't expecting it to actually be that good.

Can someone remind me why it got bad reviews? Is there something I'm not seeing?
