Am I the only person

That finds this show to be a hit and miss? Some sketches are funny (Afrikar, Obama hidden tape) and others are overdone (Tiger Woods, Wake Up Call) And some are in the middle (Dave Chapelle, Ashy Larry made it funny). I thought this was a one night special, I honestly can not see this show making it past four episodes. Maybe if it was on a different channel but with Fox this show is worth missing.

Hit or miss was exactly how I described it as well. I thought the Tiger Woods and Obama tape sketches were funny, but some of the sketches seemed a bit forced. However, "Chappelle's Show" started off a bit slow too, so maybe it'll get better.

Oh stewardess...I speak jive.

Hell yeah, this *beep* is definitely hit or miss for the most part. Affion needs to calm down a bit on the mic. He is so erratic. I hate how Fox forces him to product place American idol a lot too. I'm not sure if he even likes those sketches with the judges. Let's just hope he puts out material like Making The Band with Day 26 he has a few years back. Now that is pure gold.

I agree. Now having watched 2 episodes I see the "hit and miss". The Russell Simmons bit doesn't seem to be going anywhere. He talks over Simmons for two minutes while saying mildly inappropriate things to women who are modeling for some reason. Really? How is that funny? How is this clone "out of control"? It's stupid. It would be funnier if the clone was out causing problems that Simmons has to pay for and he's constantly cursing his clone, or it could become a hero/villain thing, or an odd couple things. Right now it's nothing, and that's supposed to be his pocket win?

Crockett would work more if he was part of an ensemble cast and had some better writers. Some of his ideas are manageable and could be funny, but they 1) aren't and 2) go on for waaaaay too long to be good.

Then again, there's a reason why this is being aired in the summer. It was probably a replacement for MadTV (which should have been gutted and then re-aired with a completely new cast and crew) that fell apart and Fox decided to get their money back before it falls into oblivion forever.
