Why bother?

I've seen dozens of movies with this same premise. Someone wants to go back and redo a moment to change their life. Basically, they are looking to change their life from that moment forward. But when the opportunity comes, they always decide they would rather keep the life they are trying to get away from rather than make the change. I just don't get it. Make the change, have a second chance at life. Just once, in a movie, make the change.

Your life must stink

Entervine,
Yeah, sometimes it does. But everyone has bad days, weeks, months, and years, right? At least I also have great days, weeks, months, and years. I miss being young.

I couldn't agree more Cheryl .. the man's life was so out of control, that he was committing suicide .. hit the wide out in the end zone on the last play, go to Ohio state and bring Macy with .. she was already crazy about him, so she would have gone, and they would have had a much easier and better life, living in Coldwater with money in the bank .. as it was, even bringing in the harvest, they were still in deep trouble financially..

because it's subtle propaganda, meaning, be happy with what you got little cattle.

Someone did make a change in "Back to the future". If you remember, Marty's family was completely improved because of changes that were made in 1955.

reply

That's true about back to the future. Damn you are some jaded people on here. The point is, changing events doesn't matter, the change has to be in yourself or everything will still suck. You think he would have just magically been happy if he had money? What if he got hurt in just first college game. Then he would have ended up back in the same town, only he would have been seen as a coward.

reply

He could have run the last play of the championship game a little bit differently to avoid getting hurt. To insist on doing the same thing knowing what he knows is idiotic.
