Faith-Based Movie?

Is this another Faith Based movie funded by a megachurch, a la 'Facing the Giants'?

With Kurt Russell in the cast, I would like to see it, but can't stand the hokey acting and thin plots of Christian films. Also, is that a photo of a Brett Favre cameo? If anyone knows Jesus and Football it's... well, not Brett Farve. He knows hard painkilling drugs and football.

I actually took a chance on Kurt Russell and went to see the film. I liked it, although some of the scenes and dialogue were a bit corny. I grew up near Coldwater, Ohio, so the film resonated with me. I though it was a little like 'Peggy Sue Got Married' or 'It's a Wonderful Life', but with football.

This wasn't filmed in Coldwater,OH.
Coldwater,Ohio is pan flat and has NO minorities.
I live about 1 1/2 hours NE of the area and this film was obviously filmed elsewhere

Not at all a faith-based movie. Being an atheist I'm very sensitive to "preachy" movies, but I didn't pick up on any of that nonsense. I also watched it just for Kurt Russell, and while the movie is completely predictable I still enjoyed it. I would have liked to see more of Kurt Russell though.

Like you really had to say you were an atheist. 90% of people on IMDB are apparently atheists who seem to take great offense to anyone believing in God. I'm sorry that Christmas symbols and Bible verses cause you and other atheists such pain and distress.

It is not faith based. I thought the same thingat first. I liked the movie but it is thin on plot like most of those church funded films. There is no mention of Brett favre. Melanie Lynskey was excellent in this.

Not faith based. And I am not going to tell you if I am an atheist, agnostic, or some other religious type. Just know that I am all powerful.

It was partly filmed in Coopersville, Michigan. I know because my daughter and I were extras.
