No longer gorgeous girls in the background.

Have you noticed there's no longer insanely hot women positioned in front of the camera in the audience? Whatever producer was in charge of that must have gotten sacked. Just a bunch of uggo normal people now.

last nights episode had some creepy people with blank stares and you can still see the awkwardness of standing with their hands crossed.

Are you fkn serious?

I still haven't watched a single second of this on principle but come here for I updates!

I know they (the boss') had their hands tied with the Clarkson bit but this? Just how stupid do they have to be?

reply

Ah well it's probably cos it's sexist now. the pc bods at the BBC won't like it.

I honestly think that , in order to prove that this is the new and improved version of the show, they paid these people to be in the audience. It seems so "trained monkey" vibe from them.

reply

Ep5 had old hags on front row, just ridiculous.

If you can't be sexist on Top Gear, where can you be?!!

reply

Oh yeah, hadn't realised till you pointed it out. Possibly due to Evans keeping the spotlight on him, and a bit of guardian reader pc. I might give it one more episode but I'm fed up with feeling bitterly disappointed at the end. It makes me realise how good Clarkson and co are at the job.
Christ, with almost unlimited talent and funds (courtesy of the British taxpayer/tv licence payer) this is the best they could do? Really??

reply

I was lucky enough to get a ticket and was in the live audience at Dunsfold for series 11 episode 2 in 2008. Before the recording started we were told, possibly tongue in cheek that any unattractive or poorly dressed people on the front row and within sight of the camera would be moved back on the premise that whatever they were wearing was interfering with picture quality!

reply

"insanely hot women", by British standards I might add.

I don't mind "normal" looking people. But as you meantion they look awful and like the produceres have raised the dead.

What does that mean, what is 'the British standard"?

Just asking casually...I'm Australian. I'm only a casual watcher, and most I do see are reruns from *beep* knows when, but yeah, I've noticed there is always eye-candy in front row of audience. Even the almost middle-aged ones I've seen were often fit.
