Don't waste your time...

Wealthy bored guy leaves his girlfriend, goes on a trip, almost sleeps with a prostitute (finds out next day, but who would guess young hot chick going with average older dude she just met was a pro) on his first night away, blah-blah, then comes back where everything is hunky-dory and he walks around with a gigantic smile all of the time.

This movie is a 6 at best; really a 5.

Fair comment, and I've heard it said in other places too......but.....
There's a lot in the blah-blah you missed out....... about an hours worth...
Yeah I knew all this before watching it, but just love watching Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike.....and I kind of enjoyed it, it made me think, 'what is happiness?' and 'am I happy?'....so personally I'm glad I wasted my time....

In full agreement. I was trying to convince myself to give it a 6.. gave it a 5. Honestly, I would have been just fine skipping seeing this movie.

Sorry already have done. Glad I did.

I briefly considered giving it a 7 when I teared up during his last phone call with Clara. But then a minute later, I remembered all the unrealistic people and situations throughout the movie. Felt too much like a cartoon and I realized that I never really felt scared or sad for Hector.

I ended up giving it a 6. It made me feel briefly happy but overall was too simplistic and cheesy.

I totally agree. I would also add 'ridiculous' and 'patronizing.'

reminded me of the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, at least that movie was watchable, this movie was terrible

The theme was similar to the Walter Mitty movie, which was instantly forgettable and starred Ben Stiller, who I for the most part cannot watch. At least Simon Pegg is enjoyable to watch--too bad the movie wasn't (aside from the admirable cameos by Stellan SkarsgÄrd and Jean Reno).

... you need to watch the 1947 Walter Mitty and forget about the remake
