Good Show!!! Shame it was Cancelled!! -_-

So I decided to watch the show on Netflix and I was surprised such a good show got cancelled after two seasons (like "Young Justice" so cruelly was too). Though I have to admit, I had two problems with the show at first. It felt kinda rushed in terms of story. I liked how the first 5 episodes or so focused on the individual Avengers before the team actually formed but there was little character motivation or development...at least at first. Also, the dialogue came off clunky and a bit weak at times. Wasp's dialogue in particular could be grating but luckily it improves. But what I love about the show was the serialization of the story arcs and interconnected the first two seasons are. I enjoyed how season 1's primary villain was Loki in the end and how he orchestrated the events that transpired throughout the season. Also the foreshadowing of future storylines were cool with the Skrull Infiltration being the best.

As a whole, Season 1 started out kinda weak, but by the end, it was pretty good! Then Season 2 comes along and improves with even better storylines, great plot improvement and finally some character depth/development. I do wish the Skrull invasion arc was stretch out a bit longer but what we got was awesome. I think that was the best part of the season actually! The way the infiltration infected the team, how Skrull Captain America slowly disassembled the Avengers, the shocking reveals of who was a Skrull and who wasn't, etc. I was officially hooked on the series!! The expansion of the Avengers was also great seeing Iron Fist, Luke Cage, War Machine, etc. join the team. Not to mention, Spider-man and Wolverine who we can't see in the MCU films (let's hope we can see Spider-man atleast once the Sony/Marvel negotiations go through). While the series finale was good, it really sucks that the show ended here. Sure, in two seasons, the writers covered A LOT of arcs from the comics like the Breakout storyline, the Skrull Invasion storyline, the Skrull-Kree War storyline, etc. Not to mention introduced a hell of a lot of villains from Ultron to Kang the Conquer to Graviton to Purple Man, there's was still SO much story to tell.

For 1) the Surtur sub-plot in Season 2 was never even resolved!! What the heck!? That would have been a great story arc for Season 3! I would have loved to have seen Thor lead the Asgardians and the Avengers in Ragnarok to take down Surtur as well as the Enchantress. Just think of how epic that battle would have been?! 2) Sure, we saw the Fantastic Four, Spider-man and Wolverine, but what about the rest of the X-men!? Why not explore Storm's relationship with Black Panther? The leadership differences between Captain America and Cyclops?! Why not have Jean turn into the Phoenix and have the Avengers help!? The Shi'ar Empire was mentioned in Season 2 and how awesome would it have been to see them in all their glory: Gladiator against Hulk would have been epic! Not to mention, the biggest and most obvious storyline to explore: Onslaught! We have yet to see an adaption of Onslaught in animation or live action and it's about time! If I remember, it took over half the Marvel Pantheon to stop him! How cool would that have been to see that battle!? 3) Thanos!? Sure, we'll get to see him fight the Avengers in the MCU films in a couple of years but there has yet to be an adaption of the Mad Titan that lives up to his name on screen yet. His presence on this show would have been incredible to see, stealing the Infinity Stones and slowly making his Infinity Gauntlet. 4) The Civil War storyline!? They foreshadowed it in the first season but actually seeing it would have been cool and awesome. 5) More Avengers are out there and needed to be introduced: Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Sentry, Spider-woman, Tigra, She-Hulk and the list goes one and on!

It's a shame Disney/Marvel cancelled the show just because it was a simple promotion for the MCU. After the atrocity that was "Avengers: United They Stand", Marvel finally got it right with this show just when it was reaching it's full potential!! Ehw!! Is Avengers Assemble worth watching? I haven't heard anything good about it. I actually liked this show's faithful adaption of the comics as apposed to Avengers Assemble which I hear it more of an extension of the MCU take on the comics.

Too bad that show is on Disney XD (the worst Disney Channel Spin-off in History)

Oh well
This was a really good show
In fact
It's even better than Teen Titans&Ultimate Spider-Man&The Avengers Assemble TV Series

It was Dark,great&epic
It has a Strong Story, great characters and a Good Animation

It was made at the wrong place at the wrong time

It's a damn shame this show was cancelled. Like Young Justice, we had a mature well written take on the characters that anyone could watch. It had its issues, rushed story lined, a couple of questionable voice acting choices (Iron Man/Doctor Doom) but overall, it was the best we were ever going to get.

Avengers Assemble is a step back in every respect. The animation is terrible, the voice acting pitiful and the over all approach to stories makes it clearly written for a younger audience, completely alienating the broader fanbase this show had.

Who loves ya, baby?

Yep! Totally Agree! This and Spectacular Spiderman were the best Marvel animations I had ever seen. Solid Animation, good storyline and did a great job in paying homage to the comics. Shame both were canceled.
I wish corporate would get through their thick heads that these properties do not have to be dumbed down for kids.
They are far smarter than they are being given credit for.
Toys are one of reasons these shows stay on or go. The show was deemed to hard to merchandise, notice no action figures were made for this series.
Spectacular Spiderman's toy line wasn't well received. Too bad too I love the lead designers work on it (Sean "Cheeks" Galloway). He also did the Hellboy Animated films.
