Weak but brilliant

As a documentary, this was pretty weak I thought. I mean, it did the job in a purely functional way, but did nothing to enhance the appreciation of the people or situation in it, who were fortunately strong enough to show themselves to us to a certain degree, but I still didn't feel that they really came out of the film, and the little I got to know of them wasn't enough to really commit me to them. I fear I cared more for them because of their situation than for them as people - and that makes me feel uncomfortably patronising.

I still think this was brilliant though, simply because of the people, and what they acheived. I was especially thrilled by the music and in particular the reception they got from the crowd when they first went on stage. That was fabulous.
