Those f'n dbags left out Peter Graves!! Who else got snubbed?

Bad enough we have to hear sh!tty Celine Dion music, but they have to show her as well? They couldn't have found 10 seconds for someone who had a career as long as Peter Graves did?

reply

Corey Haim.

reply

95% of his work has been on TV, that's why he was snubbed.

RIP 24 2001-2010
RIP LOST 2004-2010
RIP "THE X-FILES" 1993-2002

reply

Also because he had no actual acting talent.

reply

And aside from Airplane, he was primarily a TV actor. Nielsen did the Police Squad and other films.

You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think. ...

Graves did a good amount of both. Doesn't matter if he was more known for his television stuff.

reply

58 yr old Maria Schneider from Last Tango in Paris was snubbed again.

You...are ridiculous (seriously).

Are you twelve?

reply

I have anger issues when it comes to trash talking morons like yourself ("Oh, he had no talent. Duhhhhh huh huh huh huh!!"). I stand by my original statement.

reply

"Seriously, kill yourself. Walk into a room full of family members, point a gun at your head, and

What- exactly- have you done with your life that's of ANY significance whatsoever? Who's going to remember you in 50 years? No one."

You, sir, are an ass. You did the same thing he did when you talked crap about Celine Dion. Whatever reasons you have for your personal dislike of her, it cannot be denied that she is one of the finest singers of our time.

What have you done with YOUR life and who's going to remember YOU? Douchebag

reply

It doesn't one WHIFF what the critiquer stated, except that it be
accurate, pertinent, and logical. DON'T ever ask what someone else
has done! THAT is irrelevant. It's the same old BS non-argument
"show me you can do as well or better."

~I can sing better than Taylor Hicks!

reply

Exactly. You have to have done a good amount of film work to be included. Nielsen did a lot of film work over the years. Here is a list:
Naked Gun (all three of them)
Creepshow
Airplane!
City on Fire
Wrongfully Accused
Dracula: Dead and Loving It
City on Fire
The Poseidon Adventure
Nuts
Soul Man
Repossesed
All I Want for Christmas
Rent a Kid
Spy Hard
Mr. Magoo
Forbidden Planet

Okay, not all of these are treasures, but you see a list here. Also, Mr. Robert Goulet was also snubbed as well at the Oscars when he died.

reply

Only Academy members are shown...were they Academy members (had to at least nominated)

reply

Corey Haim is pretty iconic in his own 80's way. He should have been on the list.

reply

Corey Haim is a full bore legitimate and successful actor, and indeed an icon of the 80s. If that don't get you on the death roll, what does? And oh my god Celine Dion really is the worst thing ever.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

reply

I was coming on here to say Peter Graves, Barbara Billingsly, and Corey Haim.

reply

I was surprised at first about his name not being in there, however, thinking back, he was more a TV actor, with Mission Impossible and Fury. I was surprised that Tony Curtis wasn't there, or was he in last year's batch?

reply

No Tony Curtis was in there.

I help low income people get health insurance for their families so they can see that their children taken care of. In two specific cases, what I did helped someone detect cancer early and they got the treatment they needed. Both will live long, healthy lives now.

So, yeah, people are going to remember me. I made a difference.

reply

They forgot Charlie Sheen's career. Oh well, Charlie himself might make the list next year.

reply

[deleted]

Right.

I guess it's a good thing those people whose cancer you detected didn't make a desparaging remark about Corey Haim, or else you would have just let them die, huh?

I think you should hope people don't actually remember you.

reply

Yes, Tony Curtis was there, but I don't recall seeing Betty Garrett in the tribute.

Never said I detected it. I said I got them the ability to be seen by a specialist who- in turn- diagnosed them.

Let me try to explain this to you another way moron. How is it that it's OK for *you* to post a flip, insulting comment about someone who isn't here anymore, but when I post a similar flip, insulting comment about you, all of a sudden you've got an issue with it?

BTW, it's "disparaging".

reply

Hey, make all the flip, insulting comments you like. Your unholy and embarassing affinity for Corey Haim aside, it's a free country; knock yourself out.

However... telling someone to kill themselves (in front of their family!) because they don't like your favorite 'celebrity to masterbate to' and then awkwardly blurting out how high quality a human being you are - what with your life changing referals and all - well, you're really just going to have to own it when someone calls you a hypocrite.

But, hey, don't let your good works keep you from defending the utterly talentless...or else someone might forget you!

reply

I actually never said a word about Corey Haim. I've been talking about Peter Graves the entire time.

It's called a double-standard. That, plus the fact that someone like yourself can dish it out just fine but can't take it when you get some back is a good reason for the aforementioned suicide in the first place. You would not be missed. The world would literally be a better place without you. So, please: click, BOOM!!! Even if you do it alone. The key thing is one less a$$hole in the world.
