OMG i just started to watch the show and she's driving me crazy with the way she pronounced feel, heel, feeling, and deal!! She said "fill" twice, "hill" once, "filling" twice, and "dill" once!!!! arghhh!!

That's not what irritated me. The only thing that irritated me is when they were climbing the mountain in one episode. When they mentioned the word crevasse they kept saying "crav-asse" and not "crev-asse" that got on my pecs so it did.

It's not a matter of a dialect...it's a matter of her completely mis-pronouncing these words. I love Sarah personally, I think she's great on the show and her quirkiness is great for TV.

I'm sorry. It just pisses me off when people don't realize that people speak the way they do because of the speech that they grew up around. Do you honestly think that Sarah Palin would purposely set out to mis-pronounce words?
People all over the country pronounce words differently. I don't think too many people would accuse the Kennedys of "mis-pronouncing" words.
Yes, the way Sarah speaks is most certainly dialect.....unless you don't know what "dialect" is........

shareDoes it also drive you crazy to listen to people from the Northeast? They have a certain dialect there, as does Alaska, as does the South, etc. It's just her dialect. No big deal. I knew exactly what she meant. She is still very well spoken.
