Season 2?

Any word on a 2nd season? If they do, I hope they show them doing stuff that regular visitors to Alaska might do.

Just as long as Sarah AND Bristol are in it then I will be there to watch it.

Guess she won't be "reloading" for a second season, lol! And I'm EXTREMELY happy, lol! Now it's time for people who "worship" at the altar of "politricks" to start flinging their "labels". It's the "libtards","liberals","Nobama socialists" and everyone else who lives under the suns fault the show was canexed. Lol! The truth is the show was BORING. Lol!

The show was far from boring actually.

I think in a way it is best it ends on one season. This way the monkeys that bad mouth Sarah and Bristol will have to find something else to amuse their tiny minds. Plus keeping it as a one season show will mean the quality will remain intact. No risk of there being any dud episodes. Unlike many other shows out there.

I still say Sarah and Bristol were best in the show.

That's one way of "rationalizing" this boring ass show. "one season show will mean the quality will remain intact",LMAO!! I don't know many producers who want a "one season" show. But another reason for a "one season show" could be how long before you'd get BORED stiff watching this family hunt, fish, ride ATVs and talk about how "beautiful" Alaska is and how "American" they are. Please...

the reason why there is not going to be a second season is a political one. Because if Sarah runs for President, they have to allow everyone else running an equal amount of airtime that they would give to Sarah. So if Sarah has a 1 hour show once a week, they would have to get the other candidates an hour to speak as well. Remember Fred Thompson who ran in the republican primaries. He had to quit Law & Order to run, or else NBC would have had to give the other candidates equal airtime as well.

Actually seeing a family get along together and do things together is boring and bad? Wow! I feel very sorry for you. Very sorry. I hope that whatever in your life has affected you so negatively and deeply as to leave you so jaded towards family life can be addressed and healed.

I found it a relaxing and positive break from the violence and vitriol of so much that is produced in the past many years. To see a political family that is a real family besides, getting along well and facing daily life in Alaska was very refreshing. For instance, we saw how their schedules changed so drastically between the summer days that almost never ended to the winter nights that were similarly long. These are experiences most people in the world cannot imagine and will never share. I wish there were a Season 2. Given the setting of Alaska, the possibilities are practically endless.

The series was not continued because of the requirement of the media to give equal time to opposing candidates if they so request. If Sarah were to decide to run for office, her opponents would have to be given equal time on the same network as has for the TV show. Continuing the series would have restricted her options. I believe if it were a documentary that she simply narrated, it wouldn't count as personal time for her. But since it's considered a "reality show," it does.
