The sexual scenes managed to be erotic without being dirty. Spoilers*

I admit, the sexual scenes, particularly the first one between Gino and Pim, were a turn on. The actor that plays Gino is my age, and the closeup shots of their faces, his in particular, were incredibly realistic, and that's incredibly sexy to me.

With that said, I am amazed at the director's ability to play these scenes so earnestly and sweetly. They're erotic and realistic and have the ability to titillate because of this, but they are never done strictly for the point of titillation or to be pornographic. More than anything, they are erotic because they are so gently sensual.

So many gay films, particularly in America, rely on graphic sex to get the point across. Instead it just comes off as soft core porn. This film is an example of how taking a different approach, a gentler one, can be so much more sensual, and SO much more erotic.

One of the most romantic gay films I've ever seen, man. I look forward to seeing both actors, as well as the director, have great careers.
