Fantastic job by the young actors

Excellent work for a first film, especially at such young ages and with potentially controversial material. The actors who portrayed Pim, Gino, and Sabrina can all be very proud of their work. (I found the anguish that Sabrina showed to be deeply moving, in particular.)

The actors who played Pim and Gino, and their families, deserve a special salute because it's entirely understandable that many potential actors would run far, far away from such a project. In fact, the director has said in a number of interviews that casting was very difficult and that he had some potential picks calling him up in tears because they wanted to be in the film but their parents would not permit them to be. (And I can understand why those parents might disapprove.)

I hope all of these young performers go on to very successful careers as actors, if that is what they want.
