Beautiful movie
I won't go into detail--not because the film employs any "tricks" of plot, but simply because it's such a beautiful story to watch unfold. It definitely engendered a gratitude for the strong relationships I have in my life of family and friends alike. It was also just so nice to see a life, people, & circumstances that reflect mine.
It didn't hurt that you can stare at Salli Richardson-Whitfield for two hours. She personifies "natural beauty."
When I walked out, a woman offered me her tix b/c her sons couldn't make it out. I had just seen it, and encouraged her to exchange them for another time; which she gratefully did. I'm sure seeing it with her family is going to be an amazing experience for them & bring up a lot of discussion.
