This movie is little more than a parody of the most popular adventure/rpg games today. There are many different references to games such as: Elder scrolls, Diablo, Fable, Fate, to name a few.
People who do not recognize are
A. Not gamers.
B. Idiots.
So does that not describe LOOSELY BASED?
And you think pepole that don't recognize obscure games that you mentioned makes them idiots?

Chaosmagicka, you should just stop talking. This movie was horrible and if this is a parody they still failed; considering the only comedy we found in this movie were plot holes, bad acting, and the nonstop jokes me and my friends made while watching it. Yes, I did recognize the presence of a video game like plot but a 4 month old crack baby with down syndrome could of written a better story line. My favorite part is the random tattoos this guy has. Like a warrior in a mythical land would have red dice and a black widow on his arms that look like they were done by someone on LA ink!!! And don't forget how if we don't like this movie or recognize the connection between this piece of garbage and random video games we are idiots and not gamers... psh the most success this movie had was getting 10 likes on it's *beep* youtube trailer, so we aren't idiots, your just a tool.

Sorry guys but it was not meant to be a trash in any way and It's based on computer games but not any specific game. I'm glad some people liked it and I understand why many people don't. But if you don't want to be a moron bragging about JDF tattoos, please watch the whole movie(and that includes ending) and hopefully you will be able to understand.
And if some scenes or dialogues look/sound like in some specific games It's a coincidence. The man who wrote the script is not a gamer.

the tattoos don't go with any character in a far away land. I actually don't know where he would fit now that he's all tattooed up. It would be nice to see him in a popular vg franchise fight movie.
& if you can recognize any specific game this resembles than you probably play way too much games. I'm a gamer but i do get away from the screen every now and again. Put The fritos down, pry urself from that chair and go take a shower and a walk, it'll do u some good.

dominic keating was so abysmal in this its no wonder his career is garbage. Hes so horrible. He was so bad on enterprise too. He friggen makes his arm completely straight when hes holding a pistol but pointing it to the ground while moving around. Its like his arm doesnt bend and he has it in the down position.
Sooo, you're saying conclusively that the mystical land that has dragons, flying swords and spells, does not have tattoo artists? That's a fact?
