Kunis and Franco were terribly miscast

Both of them were so terribly miscast it ruined the film for me, that and the background cgi.

I thought Weisz and Williams were decent enough but the other two were just so totally out of their depth and element it was distracting and made the movie a lot worse than what it could have been.

Shame because this movie should have been a lot better than what it turned out to be.

well, I thought the exact opposite. I thought franco and kunis were strong, and Williams was very weak, and Weisz wasn't terrible, but not as good as franco and kunis.

reply

youre kidding-Weisz was basically the only good actor in the whole movie!

reply

Agree completely. Franco and Kunis are terrible actors.

Just looked at the movie and I agree completely. Franco and Kunis are lost in this movie. They lack the depth to command your attention. At least they looked the parts.

reply

Agreed. Kunis and Franco were off. Especially Kunis, she is a very bad actress. Franco is good at times. Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz were the best imo. Especially Williams.

Yep.
Williams and Weisz were consistent throughout. I thought Franco was just wrong for the part. Kunis is a one trick actress so she was in over her head. It didn't help that she also looked a little silly in the wicked makeup IMO.

reply

Sorry you feel that way. I liked Kunis and Franco myself.

reply

I think Franco was great, it was Kunis that sucked.

reply

I just got done watching it and I couldn't agree more. I don't know if they were miscast or just completely tanked their roles, but man it was brutal.

reply

I thought Franco was fantastic. He gives off this kind of sleazy used car salesmen vibe throughout the movie, especially every time he is grinning, perfectly embodying what the wizard was supposed to be like.
