Character you sympathized with most on how painful their death was

Which character did you feel the most sympathy for based on how painful the experience of their death was?

You can despise the character, love them or feel indifferent but the death alone has to have been so severe that it made you step back and feel bad for them/really disturbed you. Premonition deaths do not count but you can feel free to mention them. This goes for any film in the FD franchise.

For me it's Ashly and Ashlyn (tanning beds, FD3) because of how long their death took and how painful it must have been, as other characters in the series have died instantly. When you see the flames burst and their skin seer as they scream helplessly and flail their arms, man it's really disturbing and you real feel sorry for them. The film really gives us a close look on their final moments and it's hard to laugh at even though it is darkly comic. They may have been annoying bimbos but it's hard to get satisfaction out of it. The suffering they endure in their deaths almost redeems their annoyingness. It's also one of the more believable and visually convincing, unlike how ridiculous the weights mushing the jock's head into a big bloody pulp.

It's always been the Ashes for me. I was vividly disturbed for some time after I saw it, and it took me a while to muster the courage again to watch the scene in its entirety. It's just so damn nasty and cruel. I felt so very sorry for them - no way they deserved that!

what's eating you?

They could have moved the board and lived! They were just too dumb.

The mom in fd2 was pretty disheartening especially since her son just got killed in front of her.

I was pissed Clear got killed.

Olivia had a pretty horrible death. I felt bad for the gymnist too.

And poor Alex and that brick.

I felt bad for Olivia. To be stuck in that head clamp and slowly burned

FD1: Todd. The idea of suffocating with help just out of reach (his father in the next room sleeping and unable to hear him and the scissors just inches out of reach). That one made me squirm a bit.

FD2: Nora. Two people have already died before her (including her son in front of her) so she basically is on edge. Then to basically have your head ripped off in an elevator (with blood pouring out your mouth) as you scream "I don't want to die!" was pretty brutal for someone who wasn't an *beep* or anything.

FD3: Ashley and Ashlyn. The claustrophobia of that scene combined with the burning alive aspect really made that perhaps the most brutal death in the franchise. Yes, they were the stereotypical 'dumb blondes', but no way did they deserve to burn alive like that.

FD4: Hunt. First of all, he's basically drowning (I don't know how long he was stuck at the bottom of the pool) and then basically gets disemboweled alive by the pool pump. Nothing about this death could be tolerable (if you had to choose a death for yourself)

FD5: Olivia. Claustrophobia with your head trapped in one spot as a laser burns your eye out. Further, she ripped that medical tool out of her eye (the one to keep her eye open for procedure) and the fact that she was desperate enough to do that is almost like 'Saw'. Then the whole falling out of window several stories and smashing your face on car below, knocking your remaining eye out is the equivalent of getting smashed hard across the face with a baseball bat. Not fun at all. (Issac is an honorable mention with the acupuncture)
