So now that the new episode has aired...

So as I watched the new episode premiere tonight, something started to bother me. One of the things that got me interested into Ben 10: AF(I had very little experience with the original series, having found Ben too annyoing for my taste) was the nice balance between the attention given to our protagonist(Ben) and our deuteragonists(Gwen and Kevin).

While Gwen has had character growth, i'm a little miffed by her power growth, which has been minimal. I'm tired of her shield always breaking and her variety of mana based techniques typically being power disks, ropes, and balls. Something I really hope happens in the remainder of this season is that an episode or two are dedicated to showing Gwen's growth in power. I've always thought it would be interesting if she went away with her grandmother for a while, though I don't know how the other two would manage without her.

Has anyone else had similar thoughts?

She has gone full Anodyte a few times and was really powerful, but yeah I get what you're saying she doesn't see to be as strong as she should be. Maybe the writers want to limit her because her true power is quite massive. They still should make her a little stronger.

The only issue with making her stronger is she doens't really have anyone to train her or even show her new things. Her grandma is really the only one and she jsut wants her to become full anodite. So she is just going to have to slowly progress on her own, which she does seem to have been doing a little bit.
