Who, or what, is 'Heatblast'?

Ok, sorry. I'm an outsider just trying to figure out what character my son just picked up at a yard sale. I managed to track down the figurine by description, evidently a character from the "Ben 10" series called "Heatblast".

Ok, so who, or what, is "Heatblast"? I tried looking it up and I just can't seem to find a simple straight answer. And I don't really even understand what the "Ben 10" series actually is. From what I read, it sounds like "Heatblast" is some sort of suit or elemental power of some kind. It seems like several characters have "been" him, whatever that means.

Can someone please explain briefly what "Ben 10" is and what "Heatblast" is? Some kind soul who can help educate a clueless parent? :)

Thanks!

ben10.wikia.com/Heatblast

That's the best I can think of to answer your questions.

Thanks. I actually had found that page when I was seeking an answer, but when the first sentence confuses you ("Heatblast is the Codon Stream's DNA sample of a Pyronite from the star/planet Pyros."), you know you're in trouble. ;)

I don't know what ANY of that means.

I've gathered though that "Ben 10" has the ability (somehow) to change into different "aliens" or "abilities". Heatblast is one of the abilities that he uses to....do what exactly? I assume Heatblast is a good guy?

It also sounded like others could change into Heatblast. So it's not really it's own character, but an element? A suit?

I'm getting there, I think, but there's still a big hole in my knowledge on this series.

Thanks for trying though. :)

I got your back jallen. Ben uses a device called the omitrix to transform into different creatures. The omnitrix is a device that stores alien dna, so ben can transform into his aliens. Ben can control heatblast, but apparently, the aliens in his watch have a mind of their own, as seen in a few episodes of the original series and it's spinoffs. Anywho, heat blast and the other aliens in his watch are just forms ben can use to perform his heroic duties. Does that clear everything up for you?

I think so! Thanks for your help. Much appreciated! :)
