why did rose kill herself?

what was the whole conspiracy issue here? i was expecting a twist in the ending but nothing was revealed. what a waste of time!

There wasn't one, she killed herself because the guy's an obsessive wacko that wouldn't leave her alone. Out of desperation, she killed herself to get away from him, as the SWAT Officers wouldn't let her shoot him. Rose herself was also a little off according to Kim.

are u sure? i dont think it was that simple. at the point when rose stuck the gun to her head, a lot of things were said that were pretty creepy. it sounded like rose knew something valuable and she had to be kept alive which was what the guy was trying to do. eye witnesses said it was rose who was brandishing the weapon not the other way round.

She did know something. She knew just what an experienced, resourceful, and deadly man "Walter" was. That was the big reveal. Everyone just assumed he was another jerk ex-boyfriend type. Nobody but her understood who and what he really was, and what he was capable of. As the story progressed, they began to get clues, "How the hell did he do that?" ... "The guy's a ghost!" And then, near the end, the feds walk in and we learn just exactly what he is. A freelance goverment "asset" that's so damned valuable they'd rather turn a blind eye and let him get away with murder (hopefully metaphorical, but possibly literal) than lose him.

As for the initial encounter, it was almost exactly what it appeared to be, except for it being Rose that pulled the gun. "Walter," who was obsessed with her, tracked her down and went to see her. She freaks and, already being desperate and suicidal, pulls her gun, possibly to shoot him, maybe to just end it and kill herself. Either way, he really was just trying to disarm her, and wanted the SWAT team to leave them alone (deluded, of course). They bust-in, "save the day," or so they think, and knowing he'll wiggle out of it and be on her doorstep again in no time, she grabs the gun to try and kill him. Realizing they won't let her (notice that Cutler was blocking her shot), she resigns herself to suicide as the only permanent solution.

so you're saying that rose killed herself cos she was tired of running from walter's harrassment whom she was deeply afraid of cos she knows he's some secret agent government guy and is afraid of what he might do to her if he keeps rejecting his advances?

In a nutshell, yep, you nailed it. :)
