Great action flick!

I just watched this last weekend and expect it to be typical Direct to DVD crap, and I was really surprised how good it was. This film will not win any movie awards, but it was a fun way to kill a Saturday afternoon. I thought the action was pretty decent considering the budget was probably next to nothing. There were a few things that could have flowed better, but over all I enjoyed. Between this and Death Race 2, we are seeing some pretty decent Direct to DVD action flicks. I would love to see a squeal to this!

Does anyone have any recommendations for any recent Direct to DVD action flicks?

I actually agree with you. I expected this to really show its budget but I was into it from the moment the theme song played at the start.

I was surprised how much I liked it. I bought a bootleg version, taking a chance on an unknown film, and it was better than I would've imagined.

Act like a woman and man up!

For an action movie, I Liked It. The tactics were pretty good. For those nay sayers that like to chop a movie up for realism, well, it's a movie made to entertain you, which it did entertain me. If I want to see 100 percent accuracy I will rent a documentary.

Sounds like the possibility of a 3rd SWAT movie:

I have recommended this flick to a bunch of friends and co-workers and everyone who has seen it has been impressed. Benny Boom, whom I have never heard of before is looking like he might become a top notch Action Movie director. Even if he does not make another SWAT movies, I would welcome another action flick from Mr. Boom!

If you enjoyed this you'll probably also like Universal Soldier: Regeneration...that movie was pretty cool and extremely gritty.

As for SWAT: Firefight, I agree that this movie was far more entertaining than 70% of the action (or semi-action) movies that come out of Hollywood.

Boring.

Ohhh, a lesson in not changing history from "I'm my own grandpa".

To be honest, I enjoyed Firefight more than the 2003 film. I wasn't a big fan of the 2003 film when the French villain was up for the prison transfer (i.e. Anything involving him into the main story at that point just screamed "This **** doesn't really happen in real life")

Broken system =/= Gameplay.

Can't play games with a broke system.

I thought it would blow and it doesn't. Much better than expected!
